TSCB Charging Policy for Safeguarding Training

This policy will be implemented from 1st June, 2015, details will be sent out to all agencies in March 2015.

Under the TSCB Training Policy:

  • There will be charges for non-attendance at courses without due notice (a minimum of 5 working days), any exceptions to this to be discussed with the TSCB Training Administrator – christine.bryan@tameside.gov.uk.
  • Private Providers (who are not contributing financially to the TSCB) will need to pay towards the cost of training. This would include, for example, applicants from Private Day Nurseries and Children’s Homes. The charge will be built into the application system via an email alert to the TSCB Training Administrator. Voluntary Sector & Independent (not for profit organisations) will not be charged.
  • An invoice will automatically be sent to the applicant’s agency address.
  • Any queries or errors should be taken up with the TSCB Training Administrator – christine.bryan@tameside.gov.uk.

Charges for private providers:

  • For Private Providers - all TSCB Safeguarding Training Courses will carry a charge of £70 per person per day; £35 for half–day training. Two day courses will be charged at the daily rate i.e. £140 for two days. Agencies will be invoiced following attendance at the course.

Charges for non-attendence:

  • Non-attendance on courses where there has not been a cancellation will be charged at the full rate as above - £70 per day/£35 per half-day.

Tameside Safeguarding Children Board would not want any organisation to be deterred from attending Safeguarding Children Training on the grounds of cost. Should this charging policy cause any such difficulties for your organisation, please contact the TSCB Training Organiser who will advise.
